DMAG conducted two projects for Pangea Trust on the Somalian and Ethiopian diaspora which explored how different segments of the diaspora remit and invest and how to incentivise increasing the percentage of remittances set aside for investments in MSMEs.
Alongside a desk-based review of available material, DMAG engaged diaspora communities in the chosen corridors through interviews and online surveys, and interviewed experts diaspora remittances to, or MSMEs within, Somalia/Ethiopia.
